Robbie and Dianne

Robbie was born in 1989, the year of Hurricane Hugo and is he 20 years old this year. He is a very handsome black phase gibbon with a small white patch of hair on his forehead. He lives with Dianne, a daughter of Arun Rangsi and Shanti. Dianne was born before the failure of our first attempt to vasectomize Arun. Dianne is a large and extremely beautiful gibbon. She and Robbie live directly behind IPPL's animal care cottage. Dianne and Robbie are great companions, never far apart. They have a very high enclosure and love to stay at the top, which poses a challenge to photographers who try to lure them down with treats!
