Zoe

ZoeZoe came to IPPL from the Charleston SPCA. IPPL has had Great Pyrenees dogs living with us since the 80s. One morning in May 2005, I received a call from an employee of the Charleston SPCA. A Great Pyrenees girl was on the euthanasia list for that afternoon. By lunchtime Zoe was living with IPPL! She was emaciated and suffering from heartworms. Our vet said she was too weak for drastic heartworm treatment and put her on preventives which completely killed the eggs and worms within a year. Now Zoe is heartworm-free and weighs close to 100 pounds. She is very sweet and loving but sometimes "comes on too strong!" She gets along well with North and Bullet.
